Our Organic Garden is a Demonstration Garden of the UC Master Gardeners of Santa Clara County. Growing organic food is central to our mission. The UC Master Gardeners visit every week to tend the garden and harvest fruit and vegetables for our Executive Chef.
In April of 2007, we introduced honeybees into our environment. Hives are located on the upper meadow at the back of our overflow parking area. The honeybee hives will help the honeybee population, which is threatened by mites. Please leave the bees in peace, by staying at least 20 feet away from the beehives.
To protect our Organic Garden from grazing deer and the gophers, our garden was built in a layer of 3-½ feet of dirt in our former tennis court.
