on September 30, and open to the public was a huge success,

150 visitors taking part in nature hikes, visits to the brand new Presentation
Ecology Resource Center, visiting with our many participating exhibitors,
and taking our green tour. The UC Master Gardeners introduced visitors
to our organic garden; children, families and Sisters enjoyed drumming
with the Santa Cruz Drum Circle; the beekeepers were fascinating; while
the California Native Plant people sold plants and books and introduced
numerous people to native plant gardening. Sr. Pat Marie and Sr. Rosemary
McKean never got out of the new Ecology Resource Center with a constant
stream of visitors.
