Good News & Bad News
A little of both! On the bad news front, we will not be putting on a gala this year.
And, the good news: This March has been one of our busiest months in our history, and we simply did not have a weekend free on which to have the gala!
More good news... Look for a Spring Appeal to come your way in early May. The Spring Appeal replaces our gala this year as our Spring Fundraiser. For those of you who have been guests in our Pueblo Building dorm, we know this appeal will be of keen interest to you!
Mother's Day Brunch, May 11
It's not too late to start making your Mother's Day plans! Again this year, the Center is offering our Mother's Day Brunch from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. We have one seating, and reservations are required. Look for more details to be soon. For information and reservations, please phone Lisa at 408-354-2346.
Wendy Toda, Featured Artist
We are currently featuring the art of San Jose artist Wendy Toda in our Dining Room. The show includes 40 pieces spanning a stretch of about 15 years. Wendy received her BFA in Graphic Design at CSU Long Beach. She art directed and designed, both in Los Angeles and San Francisco until the early 1990's. Her mixed-media art-making is thoughtful and curious, engaging the viewer at the level of their own inner world. She loves the opportunity to stir thought. Also a creativity coach, Wendy inspires her clients to be more courageous and step beyond their fears. Her workshops are a happy blend of art, art-making, and coaching.
